I attempted to wake up for work but by the time I woke up, there was no way I was going to go in. I had been coughing all night, my head was congested and my right side felt swollen which is where my sinus infections go to. I called my supervisor and told her I was taking a sick day and I did just that.

Our internet was in and out that day so it ended up being a well-being day for all of us(poor Mike he was struggling to get work done). I called and excused the kids from school with the understanding that if the internet came back on they would need to return to their classes to submit work. As we know virtual learning brings some difficulties and we try to stay on top of it for them to help in this very uncharted territory.

I stayed in bed all morning but my parents kept texting and e-mailing and I felt like it was my job even though I was off to return any messages. I did get to a point where I let them know I was off work that day due to illness and I would get back to them asap or have my aide do so.

I choose to stay in bed all day except to get something to eat or drink and even that was something I didn't want to do. I didn't eat much that day and I just wanted water or orange juice so that is what I had. My focus was on sleeping as much as I could because my head was killing me. By that night though I was feeling better and decided to go hang out with everyone and watch something on TV. My mom and dad had stopped by like they normally do for sweets and just to say "hey" so I hung out with them and felt fine.
