Day 21 November 9th, 2020

The first night home kinda sucked. I slept better at the hospital, I also had different oxygen set up, they had me in a mask and they sent me home with a nasal tube, which is not comfortable at all. However, I'm lucky to be home, I'm beyond lucky to be alive to make this update.

Most of my congestion is not from my lungs but coming from my sinuses which is what this presented as two weeks ago. No antibiotics, but I am on steroids, two inhalers, lots of vitamins. They pulled me off the RA meds because it does suppress my immune system.

I did cough during the night and woke up scared and inclined. Mike said I was sleeping pretty good when he came in that morning to get dressed. I kept slouching though so I know I need new pillows.

Mike made me something to eat so I could take my meds and I did just that. After breakfast, I got myself up and sat in my chair. I wanted to sit up and not lay in bed in hopes that when it comes time for bedtime tonight I could sleep.

I am pretty tired and just walking to the bathroom is draining today so I am going to rest the best I can. My O2 is still on the lower end and that is bothering me but I am assuming it's also part of it.

The plan is just to rest today as I need it.

I do have to say that COVID does cause other problems one of which is blood clots in the lungs. If you don't get yourself treated in time that is a risk no one should ever have to take. I was wheeled by ICU and people on ventilators and it was an eye-opener.

This has not been fun and we will be all over the importance of masks and hygiene even more than we were before.

Right now my focus is healing and recovery and cherishing my life and my families. It's precious. Thank you so much for prayers well wishes, get betters, and concerns. Please continue prayers, but let's spread them over everyone.
