Some say teaching is horrid right now, but as a parent, I see the effort the kids' school is taking. I love how Encore is approaching special education. The paraprofessionals are still providing support to the students who are receiving Sped services along with one on one tutoring using google, printed work delivered to their doorstep with visuals, remediation games to build skills, on-campus one on one training for technology as far as speech services they are all Telespeech.
*Update* April 3rd 2020
The kids will not be returning to school this year as we all predicted. The last day of the year will still be June 6th with Summer school starting asap. Grading is credit no credit and grades will be awarded on what is completed. They have pushed back the 20/21 start date to September 10th....wow!! Wish us luck!
*Update* April 6th 2020
Starting in May till the last day of school the kids' school will be assigned work that will be for a real grade as this will be the remainder of the year. For now, the month of April is all extra credit. Better get that extra credit going...this is going to be a rough month of May.
